My global publishing client is urgently looking for an experienced Service Desk Analyst for an initial 6 month fixed term contract based at their support base near Colchester. My client is looking for someone with experience working to ITIL standards in a service desk environment ideally with ServiceNow experience as well.
The role will involve 1st line support for Windows operating systems (XP, 7, 10 etc), Microsoft Office software, Active Directory etc. The Service Desk team provides support between 8am & 6pm and the postholder will be involved in a rota system working either 8am - 4pm, 9am - 5pm or 10am - 6pm. There may well be requirements to cover evening shifts so please only apply if you are able to do this.
Excellent communication skills are required for this role are the support will frequently be done via telephone or in person. Also, excellent customer service skills are required along with a positive attitude and a desire to 'get stuck in' to tasks. This is an urgent role and my client is looking for someone who can start early June at the latest so please only apply if you're available to start by then.
Due to the location of this role my client is ideally looking for someone who lives within a maximum of a 30/45-ish minute commute of Colchester.
This role is initially a 6 month fixed term contract though there is the possibility that this could switch to a permanent position though this is not guaranteed.
