My public sector client is urgently looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract working in brand new offices based in Cardiff city centre. Reporting to the Head of ICT this role with support a number of projects based around internal ICT infrastructure focused on security & information management.
Working with the existing team, responsibilities of this role include liaising with outsourced IT service providers, senior internal stakeholders and business users to design, implement & test ICT solutions to improve usability, performance & security.
My client is looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong infrastructure background covering standard Microsoft Server technologies (Windows, Exchange, SQL etc), routers/switches, storage, back-ups, hardware etc. Formal accreditation such as MCSE/MSCA would be useful otherwise demonstrable experience to this level is required.
This role is a 12 month fixed term contract and it attracts the full range of flexible benefits including up to 30 days holiday (to be accrued), 10% pension, flexible working and city centre parking. The could be scope for this role to go permanent at the end of the initial engagement.
